Our commitments

 

The Savin Martinet Associés Law Firm is committed to a policy of continuous improvement, regarding:

-  the Quality of its services, oriented towards the satisfaction of its clients, with a permanent reference to the notion of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR);

-  the respect of the environment (by trying to limit and/or reduce the environmental impact of its professional activity);

-  safety at work.

The Law Firm’s SMI QSE Charter, to which all members of Savin Martinet Associés have adhered, enumerates the commitments of Savin Martinet Associés with regards to sustainable development. Savin Martinet Associés thus carries out the following actions:

  1. Protection of natural resources. Savin Martinet Associés commits to use, whenever possible, only materials that are recycled, biodegradable or coming from “clean” technologies. All the furniture, as well as the techniques used for the rehabilitation of the premises have been carefully chosen in order to ensure respect of the environment. The law firm is involved with "Planète Urgence" ("Emergency Planet" - www.planete-urgence.org) in funding 2008 tree planting in Indonesia and 2008 tree planting in Mali. This campaign of the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) called "Plant for the Planet : Billion Trees Campaign".

  2. Prevention of harms to the environment, reduction of waste production and prevention of risks to people: Savin Martinet Associés uses only recycled toners, prints only on recycled paper, recycles its papers and magazines and established a “scrap paper” system which allows for the use of the two faces of the paper. Savin Martinet Associés supports the production of “green” electricity by having subscribed to an electricity contract 100% Planet (small hydraulic and wind-driven). All of the law firm’s cleaning products are biodegradable.


  3. Adoption of production and consumption modes/means respecting human health, cultural diversity and biodiversity. Savin Martinet Associés uses, whenever possible, organic or fair trade products (coffee, water, tea, paper, toner, etc.). Office equipment is purchased, as a priority, from suppliers which are also certified ISO 9001 and/or 14001.

  4. Fair trade and sustainable commercial exchanges. Savin Martinet Associés is committed to support fair trade and the development of sustainable commercial exchanges, thus systematically resorting to suppliers and providers which have been certified or are benefiting from the labels demonstrating their commitment in favor of fair trade and sustainable development.

  5. Sharing of commitments. Savin Martinet Associés has built up a network of suppliers committed to respecting SMI QSE principles and informs its sub-contractors of its objectives regarding sustainable development.

  6. Promotion of continuous improvement. The actions implemented, the evaluation of gained results and the objectives to be reached, are followed up, internally and externally, in order to respond to the requirements of the continuous improvement principle. Thus, from its quality as a triple certified services company, Savin Martinet Associés organizes management reviews meant to evaluate the actions implemented as well the progress and/or improvements that must be brought.

  7. Respect of cultural diversity and respect of others. Savin Martinet Associés is a member of the Iurope European law network. The professional relationships created with European colleagues thus allows to stimulate and enrich the cultures and experience of the Law Firm’s members.

  8. Develop continuing education. In order to promote the actions of in-house, initial and continuous education, and the taking into account of an integrated management process, Savin Martinet Associés has established an in-house training program.
    The Law Firm’s members are regularly educated on Norms ISO 14001 (Environment), 9001 (Quality) and 18001 OHSAS (Safety). Thus, in March 2005, they followed a training session entitled “Sensitization to the integrated management system and sustainable development”, as well as a first aid training course carried out by the Paris Civil Protection Service and received their certificate, delivered by the Interior Ministry and the National Federation of Civil Protection.
